It sits in the enclosed tunnel or porch area that connects your drive-away awning to your campervan, creating a designated "boots off" zone. Without one, you are walking mud, wet grass, and campsite grit directly from outside into your awning and van interior. With one, you have a barrier that catches the worst of it.
