With the Spring and Summer months ahead, we’ve done some research into the best campsites you can visit in the UK this year! We’ve put together a range of campsites that will suit every camper so you can find the perfect campsite for you!
Three Cliffs Bay – Wales
Three Cliffs Bay is a five-star campsite based in Gower, Wales. The campsite caters to all kinds of campers such as those who want to camp in a tent, those who want to use their Caravan, campervan, or Motorhome and those who also like Glamping!
Three Cliffs Bay is a great campsite for those who want a beach view and quick access to the beach which is only a short walk away. The campsite is also dog-friendly so taking your furry friends with you won’t be a problem. Campfires are not allowed on-site but BBQs are allowed a long as they don’t affect the grass areas and are not Wood BBQs. Fire Pits are allowed on site but they should not affect the grass, you can rent a fire pit from the campsite at the time of booking or upon arrival.
Three Cliffs Bay also has a campsite shop that is open every day and offers food and drinks, camping supplies and beach goods. The campsite facilities are available to everyone and are styled just like a bathroom with a toilet, basin, and shower to give you the ultimate homely experience.

Cornish Tipi Holidays – Cornwall
Cornish Tipi Holidays is a great location to escape to this Spring and Summer. Located in a woodland valley, you’re secluded from the real world, making it the perfect location for family, friends and honeymoon trips.

Tin Can Camping - Norfolk
Tin Can Camping is a great site for those who want to be transported back to the 1950’s where you can stay in an Airstream Bubble Trailer. Tin Can Camping is a vintage lover’s dream with three Airstream Trailers restored to match the classic 1950’s vintage era. Whilst the Trailers may exude the vintage style, they’re well equipped for the 21st Century camper.

Hooks House Farm – North Yorkshire
Hooks House Farm has panoramic views over the sea and moors. Hooks House Farm is in Robin Hood’s Bay and is an area steeped in romance and intrigue. You can be transported back to the 18th Century where you would have been able to spot shadowy figures as they emerged from wooden boats and scuttled towards the shore clutching their contraband.
Robin Hood’s Bay is an absolute treasure of a town with narrow streets and tight passageways that make you feel like you’re in another world. Robin Hood’s Bay doesn’t have a beach; however, it has great ground for walks, rockpool explorations and fossil hunting.
Hooks house Farm is suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and is dog friendly. The facilities offer toilets, showers, and basins as well as facilities for cooking.

Wytch Wood Camping - Somerset
Wytch Wood Campsite is located at the edge of an ancient wood and offers pitches with seating, a firepit and the choice to choose a pitch in the shade of the Beech trees or a spot among the open wildflower meadow.
Wytch Wood Campsite is very much sustainable with composting loos, hot showers and taps and freshly filtered drinking water. Biodegradable washing up liquid, soap and shampoos are provided to reduce the amount of environmental damage as possible.

Dreamy Hollow Campsite – Norfolk
Dreamy Hollow Campsite is brimming with wartime history and is home to three and a half acres of World War 1 training trenches and woodland pitches.
Dreamy Hollow is a back-to-basics campsite with a total of 18 pitches. There a choice of having a private pitch or more of a community pitch. The campsite is suitable for tents, small campervans, groups, history lovers and dogs.
For history lovers, there’s 3 and a half acres of WW1 training trenches which are undergoing a detailed archaeological survey and reconstruction. You can take the Wardon’s Trench Tour, WW1 Experiences which are available for groups as well as Archery Lessons.

Swattesfield Campsite - Suffolk
Swattesfield campsite is a great family campsite that has the option to go glamping or camping. Swattesfield is a great campsite to enjoy getting back to nature. You can pitch up tents or park your campervan in the main field, or you can pitch on the vehicle-free space around a small lake or venture out into the woods to find a hidden clearing to pitch up.
The campsite also offers bell tents in the main camping field with double beds and all the essential cooking equipment you need. There is also a pizza oven that is open for everyone to use so you can sit around your campfire with a homemade pizza.
The campsite is open to campers with tents, campervans, smaller caravans, and motorhomes, as well as being dog and kid friendly. Campfires are also provided in the designated fire pits.

Doward Park Campsite – Ross-On-Wye
Doward Park Campsite is in the Wye Valley and is a small family campsite and welcomes dogs. Doward Park is in the Wyre Valley near Symonds Yat. Located in between the historic town of Ross on Wye in Herefordshire and the tradition country town of Monmouth.
The site can accommodate tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes with both hard standing and grass pitches and electrical hook-up available for all types of pitch.

Beach View Holiday Park - Suffolk
Bach View Holiday Park is located right next to the beach between Minsmere and Thorpeness. The Holiday Park provides camping pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes.
Self-catering accommodation is also available in one of the site’s holiday rentals which includes holiday lodges, apartments and glamping pods which are available to rent on a weekly basis or for short breaks.

Crom Campsite – Northern Ireland
Crom Campsite is part of the Notional Trust and is a great campsite to visit in Northern Ireland. Crom campsite is family-friendly and offers tent pitches and a collection of glamping pods.
The Campsite has lots of facilities on site including shower and toilet blocks, outdoor taps for washing dishes and a communal campfire.
There’s lots to do at Crom, such as enjoying a walk around the shores of Lough Erne, discover the old castle ruins and ancient yew trees or hire a boat to explore the surrounding islands.

Clachtoll Beach Campsite – Highlands
Clachtoll Beach campsite is located in a stunning location of Assynt in the North West Highlands of Scotland. The campsite is pet and family-friendly, and sists some 100 metres away from the stunning Clachtoll beach and split rock.
The campsite accepts touring caravans, campervans, motorhomes, tents and backpackers. There are also a mix of serviced (water and electric) and non-serviced pitches all laid to grass and some with Astro turf pitches.
The best pitches with views to the sea are serviced whilst the non-serviced pitches face the hills. The nearest village is Lochinver which is 5 miles away from the campsite and has a great variety of small shops, butchers, cafes and restaurants.
Clachtoll Beach Campsite is a great location for whale/dolphin spotting as well as the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Snorkel Trail.

Knepp Estate – Knepp Safari’s – West Sussex
Knepp Estate and Safari offers a range of camping and glamping huts to choose from to enjoy your holiday this Spring and Summer. The Knepp Estate is part of a rewilding project and has animals such as wild ponies, cattle, deer and pigs.
With the different options of accommodation, you can stay in a Yurt, Tree House or in your own tent on their campsite.
Each camping pitch has an upcycled fire pit and a BBQ Grill. There is a campsite shop where you can buy the essentials for your fire-pit and food and drink. There are also two co-friendly toilets and hot water rain showers on site and hot water open air baths. Campers can also use the luxury mains showers and toilets a short walk away from the campsite shop. The campsite is especially dedicated to being sustainable in whatever ways it can, such as no light pollution at night, so it is advised to bring torches.

Ettie’s Field – Leicestershire
Ettie’s Field offers 15 spacious, grass tent pitches as well as hard-standings and electric points for caravans. Ettie’s Field is a ‘boho’ camping ground that offers a very free-spirited style with dream catchers, peacocks and a vibrant club house.
The club house is a great addition to the campsite for campers to relax and socialise as well as offering four lo pods that include private showers, basin, toilet and changing space.
Ettie’s Field also offers two Airstream trailers for glampers to rent and thy have anything that a couple would need – a compact kitchen, en-suite bathroom, double bed and television. Ettie’s Field also encourages campers with bell tents, tipis and canvas castles to camp at their site!

Low Wray Campsite – Ambleside
Low Wray campsite is located in one of the most popular camping locations in the UK, the Lake District. Low Wray Campsite has access to Lake Windermere and Wray castle and is a National Trust Site.
Low Wray Campsite offers a range of camping options such as pitches with waterfront, lake, meadow or woodland views or pods, tents, tree tents, hammocks and campervan/motorhome space.
There are incredible views on the grass tent pitches, with the option for a view on the waterfront or with a lake view. Campervans and Motorhomes have hardstanding pitches which are located by the woodland, however there are only a number of pitches that have electrical hook up so make sure to book ahead of your trip.
Pods are also available to those who would prefer to glamp. The pods can sleep up to 3-5 people and are great for protecting you from any bad weather. Tree Tents are also an option for those who would like to spend their nights in amongst the trees. Safari Tents are also available which are pure luxury, perfect for those glampers who want an effort free stay.

Ten Acres Vineyard – Devon
Ten Acres Vineyard is located down a small country track beyond the thatched village of Winkleigh. The campsite is set on a grassy one-acre meadow with just 15 pitches making it a secluded patch in the vineyard. You can even visit the winery to watch grapes being pressed and see how wine is made.
Ten Acres has sustainability at the forefront of its mind with a composting toilet and shower as well as communal campfires which are a great way to socialise with your group.
