5 Steps to being Festival-ready!

Get yourself an easy-to-pitch tent

When you're incredibly excited to see your favourite band or performer live, having to set up your tent can feel like a bit of a pain! Fortunately, tents are so easy to pitch and take back down again these days. The most ideal tents for festival season have a ‘pop’ mechanism and can take just a minute to pitch, giving you extra time to take your place at the very front of the crowd and right amongst the action. Sadly, the weather isn’t always guaranteed to be perfect for your big festival, so make sure your tent is waterproof!

Make sure your tent stands out from the crowd

It’s not just about finding a practical tent, it’s about finding the one that Stands Out from the crowd and is easy to find again later. Music festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella are only getting bigger and bigger, and finding your tent amongst the thousands of others can become a tough task. But, if you’re concerned that your tent looks too similar to others then you can find creative solutions like glow-in-the-dark tent pegs.

Consider taking your own food

Festival food can be expensive! If you’re determined to avoid the same old overpriced burger vans and you’re capable of avoiding those tempting donuts, then it might be worth taking your own food and picnic set up. After shelling out a large amount of money on those precious festival tickets, many festival-goers are keen to save their money where possible and packing your trusty melamine set and food is a good way of doing just that. Make sure you don’t forget the bottle opener!

Make sure your phone is always charged

After a long day of travelling to your festival and taking hundreds of photos to capture the memories, the last thing you want is for your phone to run out of battery - especially if you need it to find your family or friends in the crowd! It’s always worth taking a battery pack in reserve for your phone, or even better, buy yourself a phone charger for your car, so you never need to worry about that battery level ever again.

Do your best to get a comfy night’s sleep

After a long day of standing up and maybe even a bit of dancing, you need to make sure that you’re guaranteed a great night’s sleep. Make sure you’re prepared ahead of the event by purchasing the best sleeping bag and air bed set up. Your body will thank you the next morning when you’ve enjoyed a great night’s sleep in comfort. You’ll also have more energy to get back to the front of the festival mosh pit… or maybe you’ll have more energy to avoid it.
