The best motorhome awning is the one that fits your measured connection height and the way you tour. Vehicle height alone is not enough. Measure from level ground to the rail, wind-out canopy channel or other attachment point before comparing models.
Our Tall Tunnel awnings give you enclosed space beside the motorhome and can stand independently when you drive away. Start with the connection, then decide what the extra room needs to hold and how much awning you can comfortably carry.
This guide compares our inflatable OLPRO Loopo Breeze® V2 Tall Tunnel and poled OLPRO Cubo Tall Tunnel. They suit different priorities: Loopo offers more room and an optional bedroom, while Cubo has a smaller, lighter packed bag. Both need the right fit before those benefits matter.
Measure the connection point first
Park on level ground, load the motorhome as it would be for a trip, and measure vertically from the ground to the point where the awning will connect. If you use a wind-out canopy, measure to its usable attachment channel. The overall roof height in your vehicle handbook is not the measurement you need.
Use the height bands below to narrow your search. For the two Tall Tunnel models compared here, start with an attachment height of 250cm to 290cm, then check the connection and tunnel dimensions for your exact motorhome.

Two motorhomes built on the same base vehicle can have different rails, canopy channels and conversion heights. Choose by the measurements and fittings on your motorhome, rather than its model name alone.
Check how the awning will attach
Our Loopo and Cubo Tall models have dual 4mm and 6mm beading. Match the beading to your rail or canopy channel, and check the connection length and tunnel dimensions before ordering. Having the right bead size is only one part of the fit.
We also include throw-over straps with both models for suitable setups without a rail. Check that your vehicle and its roof fittings allow the attachment method you intend to use, and follow the awning's instructions.
If you will disconnect regularly, check whether you need a compatible drive-away kit for your rail or canopy. Include that in your buying list; an awning and a connection kit are different items.
Decide what the extra room must do
Storage and two chairs need less room than a camping table, wet-weather living space and a bedroom. List what you want to put in the awning before choosing the largest model that fits the vehicle.
Loopo can take an optional two-berth inner bedroom, sold separately. Cubo Tall has no bedroom inner. If sleeping space is essential, check the inner's capacity, cost and effect on the remaining living area before choosing.
The awning's length and width are not the whole campsite footprint. Allow room for the connection tunnel, open doors and guy lines as well. Check the campsite's pitch rules and dimensions against the complete setup, including the motorhome.
Will you take the motorhome out during your stay?
A drive-away awning has its own frame and can remain on the pitch after you disconnect the tunnel. Both Loopo and Cubo Tall work this way, so you can leave the awning set up when you take the motorhome out for the day.
A fixed awning remains attached to the vehicle. That can suit a trip where the motorhome stays on its pitch. If you expect to drive out regularly, the ability to leave an enclosed awning standing is more useful.
Mark the motorhome's position before disconnecting so you can line up with the tunnel when you return. Follow the connection instructions, and leave the freestanding awning properly secured. Drive-away describes how the awning separates from the vehicle; it does not remove the need to watch the weather.

Choose Loopo for more room and an optional bedroom
Loopo's 390 × 310cm dimensions give you more space than Cubo, and the optional inner lets you add a two-berth bedroom. Its inflatable frame pitches in around 10 minutes. That makes it worth considering if you move sites often or need the awning to serve different jobs on different trips.
The trade-off is the 21kg packed weight. Make sure you can lift the bag and fit its 82cm length into your storage space. Our Loopo includes a manual pump; pumping, connecting and securing the awning still take effort.
Consider Cubo for a lighter living-space setup
Cubo's 12kg packed weight saves 9kg compared with Loopo. Its bag is also shorter, at 60cm. It is the more manageable of these two bags if lifting and storage are your main constraints, provided you are comfortable with the extra work of assembling the poles.
Allow around 25 minutes to pitch it. The 300 × 300cm awning can provide living or storage space, but there is no bedroom inner. Its lower displayed price is useful only if it meets your needs and is available when you need it.
Compare the complete job and cost
Pitching times are approximate. Allow extra time on your first outing to learn the frame, connection and securing sequence. Practise at home so the first campsite pitch is familiar.
A quicker pitch does not always mean an easier job overall. Count loading, carrying, pumping or pole assembly, attachment and packing away. Our pole versus inflatable awning guide explains the frame trade-offs in more detail.
Check the packed dimensions against both your storage compartment and its opening. Count the awning and any accessories towards the load you carry, alongside the rest of your camping kit.
For the price comparison, add the connection kit and any bedroom, carpet or footprint you actually need. An optional bedroom should be part of the budget from the start if sleeping space is the reason you are buying.
Weather protection and touring use
Both models have fabric with a 5,000mm hydrostatic head, a measure of resistance to water pressure. Both also have sewn-in groundsheets and ventilation. The shared rating does not make their fabrics identical or tell you how either awning will perform in a storm.
Keep the fabric and tunnel correctly tensioned, secure every required anchor point and guy line, and use the ventilation. With Loopo, follow the model instructions for inflation pressure rather than using another awning's setting.
